Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire with a double-major in journalism and political science and a minor in history hoping to become a reporter/writer.  Instead, I found work at small firm in Dallas, TX where I wore all sorts of hats:  database programmer, media research/public relations work for clients, data-entry, proofreader, department billing and walking repository of seemingly useless yet handy knowledge.  In 1996, I moved to Minneapolis/St. Paul and worked as a database programmer.  There, I met Paul Tombu, a Canadian expat who quickly became my favorite Canuck and life partner.  A drastic change in our lives has brought him home once again to his beloved and beautiful British Columbia.  I’m his Minnesota souvenir.
